impala ss vs regal gs

Does either of these have an advantage over the other from a power, drivability, comfort or any other aspect. Looking to buy one and I have found the '04 impala ss with the 3800 s/c and '04 regal gs to be in the same ball park as far as price goes. Which is better? Which holds its value better?

I believe the Impala SS will hold its value. I owned a 1995 Impala SS couple of years ago. Great Car!! Good power, a lot of space in the trunk and very spacious inside. It is not to bad in gas. I owned it for 2 years and just got bored of it and sold it. Still got 10K for it even with 80,000 miles on it. It was in immaculate condition. I just bought my 02 Regal GS a few months ago. This car is a blast to drive and is as fast as the Impala just a little smaller in size. I like both, but the only thing is the the GS is newer. :smile:

I think it comes down to what do you like better. The value does seem to lean toward the Impala however if you like the Regal better that is what you should go with. From everything that I have read and the people I know who own them one is no faster than the other unless it has mods.

He's not talking about the 95 SS, he's asking about the 04 supercharged SS. Well both the Regal and Impala are just 2 different bodies on the same platform. Impala might hold it's value slightly better but probably nothing to squawk over.

I just bought the 04 impala ss. This one is the Indy 500 edition which probably means nothing. I guess I'll be banned from this site now. Hey I still have my ttype though.
