In Need Of a CarFax RPO Tag Doesn't match Vin Why?

Hi I'm Looking to Purchase a 87 Grand National but the Vin# 1G4GJ1179HP462469 in the windshield doesn't match the # on the RPO tag. This has made me a little cautious! Please Help I can pay if needed thru paypal. Thanks.

www.carfax.com... $40 for one but get the 3 pack for $60 if you are looking at multiple cars.

it is worth the piece of mind in my opinion...
