I have a PSLIC and a 3" inlet turbo. I want to step up to a 4" inlet turbo, but right now my 3" inlet pipe and 3" up pipe are touching one another. So does anybody have pics or advice on a 4" inlet and a 3" up pipe set up? Thanks for any reply.

Well at the moment i have the motor out getting a new combo ready, How thick is the spacer? And who sells one?

4" inlet on Turbo

Dunno, but I'll be dealing with a similar situation very soon. Also got a Precision SLIC on my car. I've picked up a Precision .63 A/R DBB 5857 with ported S shroud (4" inlet ). My car has a 3 1/2" MAF Pipe . I don't remember how much room I've got between the 3 1/2" MAF pipe and the 3" up pipe ....running a stock turbo 3" inlet with 3" x 3 1/2" Silicone Reducer on it now....not really sure how much clearance I've got here either.

I've bought a 4"x 3 1/2" Silicone Reducer and will let you know how it works out. Car is still in storage which is an hour away so I cannot comment on it until I bring the car home this weekend.

What about a 3" to 4" silicone reducer?
Why would you complicate things if you would consider a reducer? Just order the to4e cover/backing plate and save a lot of $ time and aggravation

Hey James I know it can be done. Go to Mark Hueffmans TR custom parts link on the home page and go to the Maf/Inlet pipe tab and click on the 4" inlet system and you can see there is room. He also has that 4" to 3" reducer on the same page. A friend did it with 3" SLIC inlet and 4" maf setup on a 6152e (3" inlet)turbo with a z06 maf.

I'm sure I could have him dig up some old photos if you need them for a refernce point. He didnt even have an angle boss for the iac. Its tight but can be done.

BTW... Thanks again on the tranny. Lonnie said it was a great core;) Cant wait for the stage 3 to get here:D

4" inlet with 3" up pipe

I am running a PTE plenum and have plenty of room without a spacer

I run the same intercooler and just added a 1 inch Champion spacer. Made plenty of room.

Thanks for everbodys help. I really like the spacer idea. But one more question. Would the reducer cause any problems? I would change the cover to a 3" but i might just go alittle faster one day and the 4" cover would already be there
