Inside trim removal?

I'm trying to replace the A pillar molding trim but it sits inside the next piece of trim inside the car above the window and I can't seem to unclip it I'm afraid I'll beak the clips if I pull to hard what is the best way to remove it? How is that piece removed ?

Grab it closest to the window with your finger tips and pull towards you while you also pull it down with your thumbs. There are two clips holding it so you need to use both hands, spaced about 12 inches apart.

Gotta bring this one back. Grip it closest to which window? The driver's side window or the windshield? And pull torwards you. Which way? Where's the person standing, on the outside of the car, or sitting in the driver's seat? Anyone know?

Open the driver's door. Stand outside the car and raise your hands up (palms facing the roof. Grab the piece of trim towards the middle of it as opposed to the ends. Your eight fingertips (four per hand assuming you weren't severely injured in an industrial wig factory accident) should be placed between the headliner and the edge of the trim. Your palms cradle the trim piece. Your thumbs (same assumption as above) should be on the outside edge of the trim piece. Rock your fingertips downward. It should pop right off. Remember that it's been there for over 25 years. It may take persuasion and persistence. It is possible to break the clips that hold it on. I did when I took mine off.

You can also do it while sitting in the driver seat, but it's a little easier to explain it the other way.

Just start gently and work your way into it. There's no secret to it.

While sitting in driver's seat, palms facing away, pull it down with your finger tips. I don't think you need to use your thumbs. The metal trim piece has a lip that hooks over the plastic clip.

or just push it outwards until the groove is free from the clips

I like it. So if you broke your clips, I'm definitely going to break mine. Where do I get replacements from? And how do they attach?
And there is a secret to it. The clips are hidden lol. That's why this thread exists

G-Body Parts is where I got my replacements. If I remember right, the clips are held on by a phillips-head screw. When you get the trim piece off, all secrets will be revealed!!!

There's no link on your post. I'll be home in about an hour and a half and pop mine off for you. I may have had to call Gbody about them because I couldn't find them on their site. I did a quick skim over their site & couldn't find them. I may even have the receipt at home to give you a part number or something. I'll be back!

I looked through all my stuff last night again, but still couldn't find a receipt. I have one extra in my ash tray that I found last night. I'll see if I can get something off of it tonight. I still think the best thing to do is call GBody and tell them what you're looking for. I'm sure they have them.
