Installing new TC; do I fill the TC with oil before installing?

Per the title .... or do I wait and fill when I fill the transmission?

id fill the converter as much as i can without letting it pour all over the place.
but then yes, as you fill the trans itself, it will pump into the converter to fill it completely

Put at least one quart in the converter. It will be slow going.

yes fill it till it wont fill anymore. mine took several quarts of oil. the first quart goes quick. took me about 20 min or so to fill mine. it will take sometime getting all the air out and full. just take your time.
