I'm curious as what others are paying for insurance on one of these. My 86 Buick Regal was very cheap, but it wasn't turbocharged either! Do most of you go with a stated value policy after an apprasial or do you get classic insurance. Mine will be my daily driver so classic insurance is out of the question for know. Besides my Mustang is on that already and I must have a driver to have one on classic insurance. Rates/company/driver record/age/gender would all be helpful in developing a good idea. I could just call my insurance company, but it's a Sunday and I want to know now! :D

Thanks!

James

I'm 17 so these numbers are a little psychotic.

For six months of coverage of liability, comprehensive ($100 deductible), and collision ($500 deductible). I pay right around $715. Thats with a good student discount and multiple vehicle discount.

Hope this is of some help.

$345 a year with a $250 deductible. Stated value on the car is $10,000. Car is listed as a pleasure vehicle (no comments guys) and I have a good driver discount and multi car discount. It's also in "layup" (storage to you and I) for 3 months during which I'm not allowed to drive it.

32

stated value=13,5000

comp=100 ded
coll=500 ded

850 a year. Princeton NJ area.

Liberty Mutual is pretty good.

41 years old..

started value of $15k

NO deductable

any amount of mileage that I want to drive...

But I have to prove its not my daily transportation.

$241 a year

Hey guys..this is great ifo BUT how about letting us all in on what companys you're insured with?

I pay an extra $25 a month for the GN to be added on my policy.
It's added to my Jeep, the '47 Chevy, and the house.
Insured at roughly $16-18k, pleasure vehicle, fully insured incl/ wrecker, and rent a car crap with a $500 deduct.

It's thru State Farm, and I'm 29 and single with a good record...with some help.

Under State Farm the 87 GN shows up as an "87 Buick Regal", so they'll need the VIN to support the fact that you're driving a frig'n race car. But Texas has some goofy a$$ rates and policy povissions, which is probably why they're under review by the state.
