Intake porting information needed

Hey guys Im getting another intake and want to port it out and get it to flow. My modifications now are 340 fuel pump, adj reg, adj wastegate, 2.5 DP, ATR up pipe, 2 1/4 crossover 3inch ATR exhuast, cold air induction

In the future I want to run a TA 61 and bored throttle body. How can I port this intake to run decient with my current setup, and still flow enough for later.

I just bolted mine back on today. If you want to stop by this weekend I can show you what my son did on mine. I also have an old gasket you can use to port match. I will be in the garage tomorrow starting at around 9 AM. Also Sunday.

Sorry, can/t do pics, I am lucky to get on line. Mine is port matched to a stock intake gasket, polished up the runners as far as can be reached. The rear opening is hogged out quite a bit, and polished as much as possible. Nothing fancy, not brain surgery. While you have it off is a good time to put some nozzle openings in if alky is in the future.

hey lee,did you take out the egr passage "lump" in the floor of the inlet?i'm gonna be doing away with the egr and all it's associated crap when i do my topend here shortly.if the lump should come out,it'll come out...

DID NOT remove the egr. hump. Removed a lot of the material around it and relieved the edges. Pluged the hole in the back with 2 pipe plugs. A 3/8 npt tap fits the brass insert perfectly. Tap it and plug it, a 3/4 pipe plug can be installed in the large opening. Not a npt but will work. If this sounds odd, you will see what I/m saying when you remove the intake.

Leeo,When I did mine I found that a differential plug fits nicely in there without anything but a little teflon sealant or tape.Still in there no prob.Also removed the EGR hump and tacked in a 1" piece of aluminum angle to create a point to direct the air instead of slamming the flat hump,it fit on there real good with the edges slightly bent.I think I was also able to bore about 0.012"out of the adapter.I know your the best but I just wanted to float these ideas out there because they worked pretty good for me. Alot of power in the intake, and listen to leeo about the alchy!!

My wifes first born did my intake porting about 10 years ago. He suggested welding a V type piece in the bottom of the intake as you have done. I would like to see one done, or maybe talk to you about it. At the time I thought it would be too hard to do. I am always open to suggestions.

I have an extra intake. Is there anyone out there that will port one for me and how much? Maybe your son Lee??? And if I could do only one thing, would I get more benefit from doing the intake or the heads?
