hey guys, I just bought the original headliner in the med grey colour for the gn that's been discontinued, I would like to find sunvisors in the same med colour new or almost......Does anybody know a vendor that will have them?
I checked gbodyparts they look good but alittle off.
I nos4gn I don't think they have 'em
what about kirban?

From my experience...

I tried the re-cover route for my visors. I tried G-body and another vendor and still am not satisfied. The original thin cardboard is no longer available, so any aftermarket piece you get will probably use the thicker board, which adds weight to it and does not want to stay up. Second, the inside sleeve that provides the friction to make the visor stay up gets weak. Third, some of the aftermarket pieces do not have the screws that help the sleeve hold the visor up.
IMO, find the best upholstery shop you can, give them the stock visors and hope to find the best match in the available material.
Good luck with it.
I may try mine again, some time...

Actually ours are an ABS plastic & do come with screws like the factory. Not sure if it is thicker but I know it isn't heavier.
The abs will not desinigrate after years of use. Honestly trying to find an exact match to 20+ year old material will be tough. Some of the chemicals they used probably aren't legal today LOL

You can still get the plastic insert that helps hold up the visor. Gm sells them in a pack of 10. I also found that the actual tab that sticks out of the bracket(the peice the visor slides on) can spin in the peice that mounts to the roof/headliner......LOCTITE......it works, tried it Saturday nite. Sunday morning no more swinging down when you don't want it.:D
