Advanced Auto has online ordering and in store pick up of in stock items. That's not a bad way to do it. You can take advantage of any online discounts and then go right there and get the parts immediately. Sort of best of both.

New York State Residential Income Tax Form has a line for Internet Sales Tax. There is a formula based on your income. You are not allowed
to leave the line blank or enter 0.00 It doesn't matter if you bought anything online or not, you still got to pay the tax. I had to pay $53 and ended
up owing the State money! I love New York!
