A friend of mine told me to buy it and skip the rental because it was so good. Lol...

As a whole it was one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. It was like watching a bad cartoon. I just can't get over how anyone could find that movie good. I will admit that the first (30) minutes of the movie was decent and the demo on the military rocket was kool. It was all down hill from there:rolleyes:.

I just watched it, and it was ok for a rental. Not the worst thing i have ever rented. Should have rented it and saved your bucks.;)

Haven't seen it.

Still trying to figure out how and why they cast Robert Downey Jr.

I'm picturing someone like Brock Lesnar.

I thought Downey looked good as Iron Man, prolly stayed off the coke.
Too much story too little time, I felt that the plot was rushed.
Big hopes for the sequel!

I like several of the Marvel comic book movies such as Fantastic 4, Spiderman, Xmen, Transformers, etc... They were all very good. This was just an abortion IMO. Downy was the absolute worst cast choice of a hero.

I'm not sure what was worse, him or the movie itself. He plays a good drunk or cokehead but certainly not any superhero...

I have it on Blue Ray and I like it.
I do not love it, but I am looking forward to the sequel.
However the casting choice for Nick Fury.....please:confused:

Wow, I really dug it. And the 32 roadster with the finned firewall and Flattie that was in it.

I thought he played a great character. So did Jeff Bridges. The Dude, lol.

For those not versed in Marvel history. Tony Stark is a big alcoholic. Therefore it is a perfect choice to have an alky play an alky.
:)

I liked it as well. I also thought that Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the part, and that he did an excellent job.

I have never cared for any of these CGI-filled-pg-13 superhero movies. Not in my tastes :o

Religulous is in theatres today, looking forward to seeing it.

i liked the movie, well cause im an engineering major and i fabricate stuff ;)
and my girlfriend loved it, shes like why dont you make an armor suit.

You have to be in the right frame of mind before watching a movie like that. Appreciate it for what it is...cinematic. Want a nutty movie? Watch the unrated version of Team America. Stupidest movie ever made but if you're in the right frame of mind you will laugh your a$$ off.

Well said. I thought the movie was awesome, very entertaining and much truer to the comic than most comic book-movies out there. I'm finding it extremely hard to understand how someone could have hated it that much, i mean, it's not like it's some mushy girly-a$$ movie... or maybe some guys like those... :p

If you know the Tony Stark/Ironman character, you would know he did a great job portraying the character. An ultra rich playboy with a genius IQ and a big alcohol problem.
