I found a WE4 at a used car lot in PA with 94,000 miles on it and he wanted
17500 for it . I got him down to 13500 on the phone. He told me that the trunk lid on the car doesn't have the we4 code on it, but he has the the right one there-it just needs to be painted. It is A t- top car and mostly stock except
wheels and radio. He also said engine and trans has 4000 miles on them, but
no paper work to show what was done. Thanks for any help.

13,500 is a bit high for a 100k car with no history. For that much I'd be wanting something in the 70-75k mile range all stock and no rebuild in very good shape, or a higher mile car with a rebuild, performance parts and in really good shape.

With a lot less miles & original paint maybe. Most we-4's in that price range would be 50K or less miles. for $13,500.

I agree, that seems a little high. I have a WE4 with 69K miles, runs 10's on pump gas and drag radials. fresh motor, trans, rear all with good parts and receipts and a complete history on a well cared for, rust-free car that I would sell for somewhere in between the two prices you mentioned. :D

That is pretty accurate in average condition.
We have a 87 we-4 here for sale. 107K miles, new paint & was PA inspected. That ran out. All 100K mile upgrades new pump etc.. for $9500.

In case anyone is wondering what at $17,500 WE4 with 94,000 miles looks like, let me tell you. It has broken wheel studs, misaligned fenders, overspray, rusted out door hinges, and to top it all off, the grill is zip-tied on! And don't forget about the extra trunk lid with the WE4 code. So don't waste your time looking at the WE4 at the used car lot in Jeffersonville PA.
