Is anyone aware of a cutaway picture of the hot air intake?

curious as to the flow patterns inside.

What I am wondering is if I could block the inlet at the back of the intake completely and plumb the air in right through the plenum hump in the middle instead.

Yes you could.

There is a divider in the middle of everything though.

When I do the conversion (seen in the other thread), we totally gut the inside and remove several walls opening it up.

If you want to tackle this on your own, I can share all the details I have learned and help you through it.

I can even supply CNC flanges to help out.

Anyone know?

Seems to me, there was a picture posted on the net somehwere. Googled all weekend and came up empty.

Anyone remember where the picture is?

Intake

Either in 84 or 85 Hot Rod or Car Craft had an article that showed a cutaway of the intake.

Anyone have a copy of the pictures? I know there are a few people on this board who must have cut an intake.

Nice set-up and pics.
Thanks.

What is in your set-up and what does she run?
