Is this a good CD player /Reciever

I have a Alpine 7858,Cd/receiver,I bought this for my 96 Jimmy as the Delco unit took a dump,Which would you prefer for your GN the Alpine 7858 or an Eclipse with a 12 disc changer in the trunk(this is in the GN now).The alpine has a sub output that would be handy for the 2 Audiobahn Alum 10 subs,or I could used the x-over in the 4600audiobahn amp to power these subs with the Eclipse unit ,,what to do

I like and recomend both!

I have owned both Alpine and Eclipse and they are top notch head units. If I didnt have my Alpine AI-net cd controller, I would purchase the Eclipse. They are both very clean sounding head units and well built, I think it would be up to you what your choice would be.

Thanks ,I have the Eclipse casseste deck with the 12 cd changer in the trunk,the Alpine is for the Truck,but I guess I was debating if the Alpine should go in the GN..I'll leave it the way it is.
