Is this bad?

These three or four indentations appear to have been done with a grinder. Is this normal? The turbo appears fine otherwise, other than its REALLY loud. It is a TE44. You can see this is the same side metal was removed to balance it on the shaft area.

Looks like balancing marks to me.
As long as the wheels don't rub the housings, I'd run it.

Thanks for the info. It worked great when I threw it on the GN for a couple weeks to make sure it worked well. No rubs, play is good side to side and none in and out.
