Well we got the ECU back and it fires up nicely. Shows me A/F ratio like it should..
It even idles better, I moved the idle speed down to 900 rpms and it is nice and smooth.
Here is a news flash for those wanting to get a laptop to use with a FAST system.
Dad bought a HP ZE 4200 from Best Buy and it came with a SERIAL PORT. It is using Windows XP and so far I have had no problems with it. Software is not locking up and I have 4 or 5 windows open at the same time.
You can order the laptop from Best Buy and we configured it with what we wanted. I dont think we were smart enough to check for the serial port though that was a nice surprise.
Here I am loading a USB adapter and cant get it to work for 30 minutes and it is only when I look at the back of the laptop that I see the serial port.
Hooked it right up and the ECU connected just like it should.
The dyno trip will be the end of next week......
