Well my GN is back over at Jacks shop. I broke the crank between 5 & 6 and wiped out the block and tranny.

So I'll be down for awhile... :frown:

Taught your car was at Jacks or had you just got it back.Any idea what caused the crank to break?Sorry to hear that.

Thanks guys. We did have funeral services at the shop... :frown:

It was over there not to long ago for some minor stuff and I got it back.

Probably a hair line crack on the crank and of course a little detonation somewhere did me in. It was a stock block and crank. When it broke it was only a 18lb pass on street tires at Ennis but the damage had already been done.

Pretty much the back half of the block and oil pan was gone. It broke the casing on the tranny, trashed the flywheel and convertor.

Thanks Mike. Eventually I'll be looking for parts etc. right now it is just the matter of funds Probably by Oct. or so I'll have it going again. Right now is just bad timing for me.
