John Craig, a moment please?....

I have { I think } a te-44, makes good power. Want more. What mod or upgrade would you suggest most bang for the buckwise? 44 has lag off the line but kicks in HARD after 60 ft mark. The exhaust housing is Precision 63. Again, what turbo upgrade, or 44 modification do you suggest and how much? Thanks.

We have had the same situation with the TE-44 using a PTE housing. The simple solution was going to the Garrett housing.

Similar set up, and i've tried a precision .63 and an .85 and there is no comparison between those and Garrett's .63. The trade off for me was lower short times and 1 mph less in the 1/4. Hands down the garrett gave me a better et.

Paul, get that header leak fix and that should that care of most of that lag. You may want to pick up a .63 Garret housing and try that out after the leak is taking care of. The car has 7.30's in it w/ what you've got.

Hi Scott, good to hear from you. Sorry about response delay, been gone since Sunday am. I tightened the leak to almost nothing so that should help. 7.30's would be great....I'm looking for a GOOD short time too. One of the members pm'd me has a Garrett 63. I need to see which way is most cost effective, upgrade the whole thing to a PT 61 or do a housing change. See ya buddy. Paul.
