Lemme tell you guys who get your turbos built somewhere else.....

I ordered a new turbo from John for my illegal TSM engine. When it came it had the wrong V-band on it.

It had the wrong V-band on it because I ordered the wrong one for my downpipe. I shipped it back and John put the correct V-band on the housing and shipped it back to me AT NO CHARGE.

Now keep in mind I ordered the wrong one. It was my error and they changed it and even paid the freight back to me without charging me anything. These guys not only stand behind any errors they make, they also stand behind the customer's errors. :)

I just want to publicly say thanks to John and his gang there at Limit Engineering. And to suggest to other's that they should start to use his services.

I copied this thread to the turbo forum too.
For any person that goes outta their way to assist like that should get kudos all over!!

Chris I am going to call John up and protest.

I think mistakes on the part of customers should be charged twice as much!!!

What are you doing to the car to make it illegal for TSM ???

BGC intake and a 4 bolt turbo.

BUT

I plan on putting the words "Stock Intake" on the top of the intake and using a black felt pen on the extra bolt on the turbo.

Jason won't even notice. :D

I had the parts on hand. I only order wrong turbo housings....lol.
 
I can tell you based on past posts I've read about John that he already has MY future business....I won't even shop.....you can't buy that kind of great vendor customer service....:)
 
I have dealt with Chopper on 3 different occasions and all have been very pleasurable.
The last one was when I had them rebuild the turbo for my Monte SS. The turn around time was extremely fast and the attention to detail was phenominal. It looked brand new and not like someone just threw bearings and seals in it.

I had a similar experience with John. I sent in my turbo for R&R, He sent it back with new mounting gaskets and no charge after inspection revealed it was good to go! He will be getting my calls from now on!:cool:
 
Aren't the stage II heads illegal for TSM too Chris? Are you building a car with a 109 block also? Neil Chance convertors are legal in TSM.

Hi Ted...long time no talk.:)

I'm using M&A heads for the illegal TSM engine. These heads use to be on the Stage car. The illegal TSM engine is a 109 block I put together over the winter for my T-Type. I just got it running the other day and today out in the 100 degree heat I finished the exhaust and changed the oil after putting about 10 miles on it. So it's now basically ready to whomp on Jason in Vegas and Louie in BG. :D

The stage car is now being fixified.

Ah, good ole Marty. I'm using a 9" nl that I've used for years in the T-Type...I would like a lu for the street now though.

The stage car still has the old converter. Maybe a new'un in the future when finances allow.
 
I spun a main bearing shortly after installing a new turbo. Sent it to John for a check up and got if back with a new copper header gasket, oil return gasket, and mounting hardware at N/C.

Sorry Shawn....you're not allowed to burn in Southern Idaho right now...

Especially since your money pile would ignite half of the state.:D
