I had a problem with a VDO tach that I bought from Summitracing.com. I bought Caspers tach fix module and it still didn't work. (but another tach that I had, did work).

I sent the tach and tach fix module to John and he tested them for me. They work (I must have a bad wire somewhere). John was real cool to test this for me. He even took a digital picture of the tach while it was working!

yeah casper's has awesome electrical stuff for our cars that's for sure...even little things like a MAT sensor splice connector that i needed because i broke mine...absolutely awesome vendor!
