Hey guys, I have been thinking alot over the past few months that I have been gone. Ive learned how to mold fiberglass and lay carbon fiber. I was thinking about doing some things to the buick. I know you all will more than likley hate me for saying it. but oh well.
Ive got to do something heres my two options.

Customize the GN to my Liking.
Buy a 98 Mustang Cobra

Heres my list.

Exterior
- Fiberglasss
- Hood
- Bumpers
- Fenders
- Trunk
- New Paint Job (Black, of course).
- Weld Prostars with MT ET Streets.
- Hood Mounted Gauges.
- 10% Tint on the windows.
- 87 Grill, Fresh Emblems

Interior. Looks a little plain. dont you agree with me?
- GNX Cluster
- Black Door Panels With Leather Inserts.
- All Black Leather Cobra style seats with Grand national Logo on the Head rests.
- Custom laid fiberglass center consol with.. YES CUP HOLDERS!!! TWO!!!
- Entire interior In Black Leather,

Mechanical.
87 Engine Swap.

This is the part you guys will hate me for.
T56 6 spd Transmission.

I want to convert it. over to manual. My dad can do it...

I just want something different. I know it would be slower, but hey. I'd really like it.

What do you all think? Has anyone done this? And No its not gonna be a DRAG car.

Easier typed than done. Its going to cost you a rediculas amount of money and if it isnt done right its going to cost you a rediculas amount of money and an awesome car. 6-speed sounds like fun and also a HUGE amount of work. Im not sure whats involed with it but im also sure its not a 1 2 3 kind of thing. Not to offend you because i am young myself but i had a hunch that you were a young kid with all these crazy ideas so i checked your profile and i think you should go with the cobra as much as i hate mustangs. No offence but this is a seriously huge job.

How much for the engine? I really at this point NEED a tranny, as mine is going out. (my fault as well as the preious owners). I wanted a manual. But I dont want to give the car up... If i find a way to keep the car and get the cobra too.. I will go all out and make the GN A Drag car thats Street Legal.

But i dont see that happening soon.

I guess i want something different. But i love my gn. They look so bad ass.

also, nailheadpowered, do you happen to have a tranny? I have pinned one down, it come from an 87, BQ coded? for 300 + ship. just curious, it has 48k miles too.

Had to chop up the picture cause it was too big. this is my ride

re:gn

looks nice and would really haul ass with an 87 setup in it. trust me i sold a complete setup like this one to my friend aka turboelky and he put it in his 78 elcamino and that thing beats the crap out of gt's and ls1's etc.

sounds good, ill have to do some talking, but i dont know. give me a few days to think it over, you know im in one of those "down in the dumps" stages cause i know my trans isnt going to last much longer. and I dont know what to do. fortunatly I got this car for $800 bucks, course i did a little bit of work.

re: gn

hell if you bought that for 800 and it has no accidents and what is the rust like and interior like? even after putting my setup in your car you still would be into the car alot less than it is worth  , Hell if the car is straight and not rotted and the interior is decent, ill give you 800 for it and convert it myself if you don't want it LOL  . its and 85 correct? also i have an 87 grill.

what ever the price is on that 87 engine tranny set up is, it is worth it. I've personally seen the both of them and they are in great condition. But I actually bought a whole running we-4 from Nailheadpoweredgs"mike", and then tore it apart to build my el camino ;) and for the 800 bucks you spent on that car, that was a steal  to go cheap on building it now would be.......well you know
