Just picked up a silver 2000 Lightning as my new daily driver!
It's got 38k miles on it, and this guy around the corner from my office has owned it since new. After about a year of nagging him, I finally got him to sell. It's got all the basic mods plus a 90mm MAF, JDM chip, single blade TB, 2500 stall converter, shift kit, 3.73 rear from a 2001 and up Lightning, lowered all around, polished wheels, JDM chip and ecm mods, JDM stainless exhaust and headers w/ x pipe, all the basic I/C and cooling mods, pulleys, etc. Also has the hard bed cover painted to match, polished wheels and a billet grill.
It's immaculate and it sounds better than my father's 70 Chevelle SS
, but still not as cool as my WE4. The aftermarket seems pretty strong for these, but it looksl like I have a lot to learn. At least parts are easy to find.
Anyway, wish me luck! Anybody know of a forum or message board where they discuss SVT Lightnings?
