I recently had my good ol' TE62 die on me... I sent it in to PTE for repairs and ended up just having them keep it and send me a 6262 NON BB.... I've heard a lot of good things about the 6262, but I'm curious as to what to expect from my combo... I've seen a lot of folks running stock converters and heads, but nothing like what I'm running... Car was low 11's on the 62. I loved the way it spooled and ran, just trying to stay somewhat up-to-date. I'm about 80% street, 20% track. Car's not really a DD, just a weekend cruiser.. Here's my setup:

CPT 3500 Stall
Champion Aluminums
212/212 Cam
60# Inj.
TH 3" DP
MPE Stock Stretch IC

Is that Conv. going to be too much?

hey man, nice choice on a turbo. What does the converter actually stall at at 0-0 boost? If its truley at 3500 it may be a tad much, but I would rather be slightly over convertered than under convertered on a street car. Hope it runs well for ya.

JD! Long time no "see"! I have no idea about the Converter... It's a California Performance Transmission (original Art Carr) 9" 3500.... Something tells me I'll have no problem spoolin' this thing...

I think I've got just about all the demons worked out of this "cursed" car... some garbage got passed through the 62 and killed it. Should be able to finally get some consistent high 10's out of it, hopefully.

If it is not too late you may want to consider the 65 turbine wheel.
You should be able to spin it just fine plus it could help you in your efforts
to run in the 10s. Please remember to port the wastegate hole.
People that have not have experienced over boosting conditions.

Are you controlling boost via the stock internal wastegate or an external one as some guys are having to convert to the external to control boost on these billet turbo’s.
