Brand new and in the box. These puppies even have Goodyear Galaxy 4860 Barrier hoses R134A and PAG compatible. *IF* you can find another set, the GM Part Number is 25525272 or AC Delco p/n is 15-3461 as seen in pics. i am really excited about these hoses and now i will have all NEW a/c parts on my ride and hopefully it will work...

The large line has a huge bend in it where there's NOT supposed to be one.

Or maybe that's where the bend is on the passenger side of the radiator. The picture's a little deceiving.

Where'd you get them??????

Look at this set in the pic? In the for sale for $16K Not bad?

I'm not 100% sure they are correct. Look at them & then at the ones in the pic I posted. Are they the same shape with bends?

They are right, color is different. Factory was black. I have put them on a few TR's over the years. Getting tough to find!

I found a 2 sets of GM hoses last year for $90 each so I bought both of them. One of these days I'll probably sell them for $450 each.:D

I tried new lines - they leaked. I hd the rubber replaced in my original lines, $125 - fixed that leak.

25525272 were discontinued late last year.

The replacement AC Delco part number was 15-3461 (which WAS same as 25525272). (See box label above). They are discontinued as well.

The good news is that they are superceded by AC Delco p/n 15-34340. They are about $95 new. Which means no one should have to pay $450 for a new set of lines. Sorry scalpers. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

The only info I have is that 15-34340 is the "aftermarket" part number and that it is R134a compatable. That means it uses the Goodyear Galaxy hoses.

I'm guesing that all the lines are aluminum instead of steel and aluminum.

The pros and cons are: Aluminum doesn't rust, steel does. Steel doesn't bend too easily, aluminum does.

Sorry for the late reply!!! Yes, they fit perfect. I tried to order another set from my distributor but part number 15-34651 is discontinued.

I just checked with my distributor and AC Delco p/n 15-34340 does not come up in their system, who sould have this part number?

I had seen that part number 15-34340 and wasn't sure if it was right, because there was no picture. Rockauto has them.

I just talked to AC Delco. There was an engineering change from p/n 15-3461 to p/n 15-34340. The wall thickness was increased on the metal lines.

No reason was given. My GUESS is the aluminum lines are too soft and bend easily, relative to the steel lines. Or the aluminum lines allowed refrigerant to migrate through the thin, relatively permeable tube wall. (Aluminum is less dense than steel, that's why it's lighter). Either way, it is good thing.

They claimed the part was too new to have pictures. I asked them to put in a request for pictures. They part being too new is perhaps why it isn't showing up in distribution, yet.

HTH

I have a source for lines, bright alum. direct fit, looks like the ones in the above pics. for $130 shipped within the U.S. Large box makes shipping kind of expensive.

Anybody know where I can get them or if these is yet another new AC delco number?

Thx!

Call Bristol or Aeroquip. They will take your lines and replace rubber with updated hose compatible with r134a. I think they get $120
