I've been using the KB boost-a-pump for going on 9 years and have never had any problems with it. I use it with the manual switch that came with it instead of the boost controlled switch. I turn it on when i think it's needed like to avoid voltage drop at the fp or when driving at night and under higher boost.

I see on Lingenfelter site they use the Boosta pump but not the Boostaspark.Similar on the Mustangs also:confused:

I got it to replace one of my fuel pumps. I did have a double pumper but ended up having problems with the 2nd one so I got sick of it constantly causing fuel issues and took it out. I know I would be fine with just one fuel pump but it never hurts to be safe. Besides I don't plan on stopping where I am at now.

still got the doublepumper kicking around? I'm scrounging for parts...

Me? I guess it wasn't a nice double pumper kit just looked like one someone put together themselves. It used a brass t-fitting where the barbs were ground down some and then the hoses connected to it and the pumps were tied together side by side. I removed some of the wiring but use the Hobb switch and that part of the wiring for the BAP.

Ok, thanks,

Where did you dig up the BAP?

Bob

Name dropping ... now I'm really impressed. Is that a fact, or did you just make it up? I'd think you'd at least be on a first name basis with, what's his name? Lingenfelter? When myself and most of the "racers" here at TB.com, decide to launch our campaigns into the 8s, we'll be sure to at least look into the pros and cons of the $250 Kenne-Bell BOOST-A-PUMP. Unfortunately, there's no information available in the archives here or at our brother site. That might indicate something.

The great thing about the Internet is that you aren't required to post all your secrets either . Plenty of proven info posted all over the Internet on the effects of voltage increases to fuel pumps:eek:

It's been quite a while since I did get the BAP but I searched the internet for venders until I found one with a fairly good price. I want to say it was some speed/performance shop in Florida where I did end up getting it from. I will PM you their site if I can find it. There were two kinds of BAP's too a 20 amp and a 40 amp but I can't remember which did what. KB's site might explain?
