can someone tell me where the cable should be at in the holder by the throttle body? right now i have only about 3/8 in. sticking out(from the nose where the cable comes out to the bracket). also i've noticed that the 2 to 3 gear shift has gottin soft (started yesterday) and reverse does not seem to have the same bite (but not really slipping) no burnt smell, fluid seems redish color, i did add about 3/4 qt. to bring to full.. i have not changed the filter. any help? thanks Terry

Thats a TV cable, not a kickdown cable. Dont drive it until oyu are sure its right. The mount that faces the driver side is for the TV cable. The other is for the cruise control and faces the other way. It is pretty foolproof as far as where it connects. Depress the locking device and push the cable out some bt gripping it where its covered behind the mounting bracket. Then make sure its attached to the throttle and open the throttle wide open. 90% of the time the setting is correct at this point. Sometimes its a little to tight and has to be backed off a little or you wont hit WOT when you mat it in the car.
