Hey all got a prob. I just replaced my head gaskets, and I guess I popped it pretty bad, now I got a rod knock. My Question is should I use plastigauge on the bearings, and what are the clearences for the rods/mains??? Also does any one got any tricks, tips to pulling the engine?? What I was going to do is pull the crank, get it turned;new bearings and throw it back to gather any opinions?????thanx,,,,, Bryan

Check Gnttype.org tech section for good info on pulling the motor and rebuild clearances. Its very common to spin a bearing right after you blow a head gasket. That why I recommend pulling the motor and going through the bearings if a gasket is blown and you drive more than a few feet. It usually saves money in the long run. Don't forget the cam bearings, too.
