I got an IBM Thinkpad 765D from a friend for the right price...FREE :D . I also just bought Turbo-Link 3.0. Was wondering how to tell what processor is in the laptop to see if it's good enough to run TLink effectively. My friend wasn't sure, but it's probably somewhere in the 150-200 MHz range. 200 good. 150 bad.

Thanks

It will tell you in the Bios, or in the Thinkpad configuration tool if its still installed.

That is probably what it is. If you want to know for sure press F2 at boot, or F1 or the Del key.that should load the Bios...

P166 MMX for that model, you might have to turn off PC then hold down F2 then turn machine back on while holding down F2. I haven't received my turbo link yet, but got an email that it would be shipped this Friday, I have heard P166 is about as low as you want to go with TL 3.0. A friend gave me a thinkpad 760d he couldn't get working, I was able to get laptop up and running but unfortunitely it's only a 90mhz processor.

Entering the BIOS by...

Press and hold the F1 function key after you turn the power on. Trust me :D
