the sun roof shade is in pretty good condition. It is black. I took a pic of it today but it looks much better in person than in the pic. It rained a little today and the sunroof leaks so it got a little wet, it shows in the pic. it has some small tears where it closes around the side but nothing too bad. pretty good for a 28 y/o car. all looks dark black without camera flash. $15 plus shipping. let me know asap. i will probably just take it out before car is sold anyway

thanks for pointing that out in the pic... I looked up close and yes it is an A, and yes it is a little bent... I didnt even notice that it was aluminum... how much is this piece worth? how much has to be taken off to get to it and get it off? is it worth it for people to pay shipping on an item like this?

Depends on how badly bent it is and if its repairable.

Ive purchased one in the past for 150.00 - 200.00 plus shipping, i think now they are around 300.00-400.00 in perfect shape.

Like i said, just depends on how bad its bent, who is in the middle of a project and how much to ship.

pull the bumper, nose and start pulling nuts and bolts off..

It really helps to have a torch to cut the bumper in pieces and a electric impact to save your hands fro wrenching.

I installed one on my sage green car 3 or so years ago, it litterally dropped right into my 87 regal.. Only had to drill 2 small holes for the nose piece.

It is not bent at all really, at least as far as I can see. nothing that cant be easily pushed back. Well the buyer for the car backed out which is a good thing I guess because I am going to take the front end the rest of the way off. I will find a way to get the support off... without damaging it... I have a sawzall and a bunch of air tools if it comes to cutting part of the car off... I will make sure I wont mess up the core... thanks for the info. how much weight did it save you? did you notice the difference? was yours from a 79 as well? what models did the aluminum core come on?
