Leaky Intercooler.....What to do?

It's a dutt-neckified stocker leaking from a pinhole in the middle of the core. Can you just weld it up? Are they this thin to start with or is this one junk? Had a friend take it to work, bead blasted & painted it for me. Guessing that was a mistake.

If it is in fact a pin hole, the above method will work...any bigger and cut off the neck and get another i/c. Yup, thinner than a shadow.

Hey I'm kinda curious how you FOUND a PINHOLE leak in the IC to begin with????????

Was it on the car and you were experiencing less boost?

Or did you ACTUALLY see it when the IC was out of the car?

Take the IC out of the car and pressure test it. I just stuk mine in a large bucket of water and ran compressed air through it while trying to plug each end. The steady stream of air bubles made it pretty obvious to me. I was not able to fix mine with JB weld so I went with a V4 IC.
