Ever wanted to learn how to build your own transmission? Well Bruce from PTS Extreme and Richard Clark have teamed up to give this opportunity to all:cool:

They will be hosting Transmission Building Classes at Mr. Clark's facility in Central NC. They have set up a step by step process with guides that will take you throw every step of rebuilding your transmission. They are offering two different classes, a stock rebuild or a performance rebuild! With the step by step guides, charts, and tools they provide you will have everything you need right in front of you to do this difficult task.

Kind of like the old Indian story, bring me a fish I eat once, teach me to fish I eat forever.... Go to the class and rebuild your own tranny, and your buddies;)

I was given a short walk through and with the set up they have, even I believe I could do it.... So trust me if you have one ounce of wrench in you, you can do it!

You may wonder why I am posting this? Well Bruce has built me two awesome transmissions, at no discount BTW:tongue: , and they are awesome units. He has given me great service on them, even tweaked it for me at BG. All I need now is one with a brake:biggrin: I just think it is great that they have brought this service to us to share the knowledge of building a long lasting 200r4! Bruce and Mr. Clark both have treated me wonderfully and I expect anyone attending these classes will get the royal treatment as well! Contact Bruce at PTS for more details!

do you have a link for them or #?

What timing. My trans just crapped out on me.  I will definitely get in touch with Bruce. I can't afford a new one, need to learn this. Only part of the car I don't feel comfortable working on.

any chance of them video tapeing and offering to those who live to far at a good price?

As you said Shane it is definately an experience to meet Bruce and Richard Clark. Mike Sheilds and I had stopped down to RC's warehouse last Thursday to drop off a tranny and both where very hospitable and open to answering many of our questions. However about 90% went over my head but hey gotta start somewhere.

I saw your new two piece transmission design that Bruce had in a box. Never saw anything break like that before!

Do you know when they are hosting those classes? Going to talk to Bruce tomorrow but if you have any more details that would be great.

I am not sure where exactly they will host it, I am thinking there at the shop....

Wasn't that trans something:eek: It split in HALF... I got to get a couple of pics of that mess before they trash it!

Well It seems Bruce is not only the man at 200's but at 700's as well. He just did the one in my typhoon and it hauls. i have one up on alot of you, Bruce told me I scared him when he went for a ride with me. He went well out of his way to help me on my build.
Thanks, Bruce

Yes, yes he did!!

And THAT my friends, is hard to do. But Matt seemed to accomplish it. That typhoon of his STICKS BABY!!!!! That thing on the back roads stuck like glue. Not a gn in hell, could ever dream of handling like that!.
This truck is nice. Trans don't work bad either....;)
I was VERY impressed with Matt's truck.

Laying low these days,
Bruce
