When I built my motor back in 2006 I changed the original (well what I think was the original) TV Wire for a brand new GM one and left it at that.

However when nos4gn.com announced their new aftermarket TV wire (at a great price) I got one and put it aside for future needs, I just opened the box where I kept it and also the TV wire I took off my car back in 2006 and was suprised to see that the the one I took off is actually about 3 inches longer than the one I got from nos4gn.com

When I did built the engine back in 2006 I never compared the length of the new GM TV wire I put on there so not sure if the used one I have is correct or not hence my question.

So any help with the length of a GM original and also of the nos4gn.com one would be of help, also let me know how you did measure yours so I can compare accurately.

The nos4gn.com website says "Correct length cable" measures approx. 37 inches long (36.8" exact length)"

Could someone with a GM original (or NOS) measure that one to compare with please :-)

G Body parts sells one that they call an exact fit replacement for the GM #25532115 cable, I believe I saw the length listed as 41 inches

Measured the two and the aftermarket I got from nos4gn.com (along with many others on this board) is indeed 36.8" end to end of the moving cable/wire however the one I took off the car back in 2006 (and I believe is factory OEM) is pretty much 42 inches measured the same way ...

Doing a search on the forum seems like people say 41-42 inches is the correct length, anyone with a NOS GM one that can confirm? Then I can go back to nos4gn.com and ask why they claim their's is the only correct factory lenght one when to me it looks like it's 3 inch shorter :-(
