Doesn't look that bad James. Shouldn't take that long to get it put together.:)
Driver side floor pan and tranny tunnel don't look to good but good enough to drive until it gets a proper restoration. All I'm looking to do is make it drive able for now

Hey,

That headliner looks familiar... I have three mid eighty's GM's that look the same.

Was the dome light with the map lights an option? What's the code?

The light was a option not sure what the code was though

Thanks. I have one I salvaged from my old Caprice I may install when I do the headliner.

Cool car man. Bring it back to life and drive it as is! ;)

I really hope this one stays together - unique ride - wire splices, inner fender mount holes, everything.

Thanks for the pics

You've got an easy 7 years more of CT winter driving in that beotch!!!! :eek:o_O

That garage floor looks familiar. :p

It's a miracle I checked the vin on the engine and tranny and they both are correct numbers matching vin stamped. Reason being I was told by bob at RPE and by a retired state cop these were pulled and swapped out regularly. I was told some cars had at least 3 engines in them.

New engine going in a day or 2 . Hopefully running in a week or 2. Already got wipers, new headlights, tires, atr exhaust, Hotwire kit and some other upgrades laying around that are going to go on.

Well I got some motivation by a board member to work on this car and get a bunch done along with some really nice unseasonal weather.

Engine and tranny from that wrecked Gn that ate the telephone pole were swapped in. I pulled the new turbo off original engine and put that in as well. Swapped a gas tank in out of a blue t parts car from last year a sending unit from a car that I don't remember when. Tank in the car was rusty inside and sending unit to me looked like a analog one. Also the gas tank straps had Velcro on them which I have never seen before either. Put a fresh fuel pump in from full throttle a Hotwire kit from my own car that got chopped last year. Put all the hotchkiss rear suspension in that was in my grey car that was chopped up. I had used air bags that I bought for $20 at a swapmeet that were put in too also I got a ATR rear sway bar from a member on here a year or so ago on a trade so that got put in as well and while I was there I put new shocks in that I got in a deal about 3 years ago. Put a driveshaft safety loop in as well which was kicking around. Gotta finish up a few details on the engine like hoses, engine oil cooler and filter and put intercoler in and fill up with fluids and hook up tranny lines and I believe it may run again providing I didn't overlook anything else. Then next it's getting a vaccum brake conversion donated by my latest parts car and all the rest of the brakes will need to be gone through and I will need to bolt on a ATR 2 1/2 " exhaust that I got from a member on here like 3 years ago. So hopefully in a week or so it will be roaming the streets again

My car had velcro on the straps, the one I bought new that is.

Good job James.

Ken in the Manchester area also has/had a burgundy T type ex-police car.

I have had quite a few of these cars as you all know and this is the first one I saw with Velcro that was why I mentioned it

Also the car you speak of was owned by Kenny quickbuick87 and was sold to tony Gomes who in turn offered it to me but I didn't have the extra $$$ to buy it so it got sold to bob and was parted out check his ad one was titled. Ct cop car parting out or something like that. There was also a guy in RI that bought a cop car on here like 4 years ago didn't have it for long it got stolen only to see his car parted out on Craigslist and caught the thieves. So at this point I only now of 2 of the possible remaining possible 16 in still existance both were at the same house!!! I talk to everybody around here and have yet to hear of any others around. My trunklid rpo sticker has some stuff on it I have never ever seen before that is why I did not put up a pic of it !!! At this point it's probably the only way to tell a trooper t apart from a regular turbo t. Mine also has the title from state of CT to the guy I bought it from and I am 100% positive nobody else with one of these trooper t's never registered it in 21 years and still has that proof as well. Nothing magical on the title other than the fact that it was owned by the state

Funny a car with an older inspection sticker than mine. 1992 on mine lol. Nice find James keep the pics coming.

yeah, buddy ..... keep those pics coming..... Thanks for saving a rare turbo regal..... these cars are truely becoming a dying breed...... (your to thank for most of that):p..... Thank you for sending the sending unit also.....
