That stuff normally bring big money at Train shows. Especially when you have the boxes for them. Just my in put:smile:

You can find a 2008 lionel train value guide at a bookstore or Amazon that can give you value estimates. My dad bought a train for me before I was born and then as a kid in the 60's I bought a couple more. The photos you have show some very nice pieces that I'm sure are valuable and having the boxes for some is a huge plus. Nice find!

There is a cool Lionel Train store in New Buffalo, Mi which is near my home. The guy who owns that store actually publishes an annual price guide. I told him about my trains which look great but have not been run in 30+ years. I mentioned I wanted to set up the train for my grandsons and he advised that before doing that, I should get the engines cleaned and oiled.

id like to sell this stuff but dont want to get ripped off or rip anybody off. Any help would be great and appreciated.

Everything looks to be in good-very good shape besides being dusty and having some of the original boxes is a big plus and also some of those buildings are hard to find so I am going to say what you have would bring between $800-$1000. As mentioned above, the Lionel guide books are also a great source of info, your local library may even carry a copy, I know ours does. Hope this helps.

That is too cool. I have an original 1968 set that my mom bought when I was born. 100% complete and I will never sell. Been told worth a lot of money since it is all there with boxes and a catalog to order more items. Enough to cover a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Mine is HO scale. Your set looks bigger than that. If it all still works, that is a plus when selling too.
