They are going to pull the third one out today. Said it could take 3 weeks to get all 8 of them out.

Good to see it happening.

Some strange goings on in there today! I see they've moved the cranes out, and brought in a small back hoe, and some other strange looking rig that almost looks like some kind of drilling device.

Well they took the cars from the top of all that rubble that they could get to now they have to remove all that debris in order to get to the others....

That is definitely a drill rig but look like core drills....Maybe they are drilling cores to see if that problem exists elsewhere under that dome....

Once the cars are out of the hole they have a TON of work to do in order to secure that dome so that does not happen again, my guess would be that the dome comes down and everything gets ripped up, filled back in, packed down and rebuilt......Very long, VERY expensive! Sucks to see this actually...

I'd have to agree. After watching them all morning, it looks like they're drilling cores. Not sure why though. It's a bit late to worry about what's under them since they've had those two big heavy cranes in there all week lifting cars out of the hole.

I watched that one being pulled out. Couldn't tell what it was at all, thanks for the before picture. I'm going to have to get over there and view them while they're being displayed before chevy takes them to detroit for refurb.
I believe I heard on the news today that they'll all be on display (just as they came out of the hole) until something like AUG.
