For the folks coming down from I-35, the best way to go is take the TX 123 exit (exit #204A, also marked as 204) in San Marcos. Take that exit easy if you have a trailer, it veers pretty hard. Take 123 S toward Seguin. A few miles after passing through Geronimo, TX 123 will fork; take the R fork (123 business). This occurs just in front of a Motorola plant. I-10 is just a mile or so further. Go W on I-10 to exit #597, Santa Clara Rd. You're there! BTW the Alamo Country Inn is at the Hwy46 exit on I-10, just a mile or two W of where you came out from 123 onto I-10.

For people coming from the N towards San Antonio on I-10 (ie Art , the best way IMO would be to take Loop 1604 E and then S'ward, all the way around the city starting from the NW area where I-10 comes in to where it comes back out again on the far E side of SA Get back on I-10 there and go E about 10 miles to exit #597, Santa Clara Rd.
