Just wondering if anybody else is following the long-term test of the 1987 GN on Edmunds inside line. For those who aren't, Edmunds found and purchased a 5000-mile stock 1987 GN, and they are doing a one-year "long term test" on it.

Some of the comments from readers just, well, make my eyes roll.

Anybody here post in the comments for this on their forum?

I've been following and making an occasional post.
It's fun to watch, I used to work with one of the contributing editors.
Overall the GN has been well received.

Mighty cool. Not too many 100% stockers any more.

I knew about the initial story but not the follow-up. It looks like it's in good hands.

i wonder how "stock" the car actually is? someone added the front frame braces and a couple of other things looked kind of "off" on the underbody pics that i couldn't quite put my finger on..

also, the t tops don't leak, so it must not be totally stock.

it's also kind of funny reading in the comments section, where people that would never be seen in an American car pretend to be experts on the ins and outs of the Buick V6 engine and don't even know that it's totally different than the one in their mom's fwd Grand Prix that leaks water out of the intake manifold.

I look terrible , what has happened to me. Look what you Buick guys have done to me. ( SOB ) :(

That photo of you wasn't exactly flattering, they captured the top of your head, which at your height not many people see. :D

I'm traumatized & don't know if I can ever be seen in public again ! :(

I'm sure to your customers you are a sight for sore eyes.

I wouldn't worry about it.
