If you have a Passenger Side pwr. seat track assy. I would be interested in having a look at same ... (& how much).

*I have a manual seat NOW, and simply wanna exchange it for a pwr. assy. (Track, Switch, Covers) etc ...

ALSO: I am looking for the "Trim Covers" (that cover up the mounts / and track for the Drivers side pwr. seat).
*I have the switch cover "plate" already, ... all I need is the plastic "track cover(s)". *(so you don't have to look at the track and it's "covered" up.)

THANKS 4 Reading.

i have one they are not something you find everyday. $650.00 firm firm firm.

I did it to mine.finding parts is fun.

Claude. ;)

"YOU YOU YOU" !!! :sneaky: ... Looks GREAT Claude !

HEY: (while I got ya) ... what about "interchanging" the brackets (or the "feet") on these seat tracks ?

IOW: Would changing them AROUND (taking the feet off and doing a 180 on all four stools on a driver's side track) THEN make a driver side track FIT a passenger side seat application ?

Hum: "I wonder".

I got the parts from a 90's Cadillac Cimarron.I think it was called that.

Mmmm…First: WHY ? And second, I'm not sure it would work. Don't forget that the "feet" are riveted to the tracks, not bolted so you'd have to grind off the rivets and use bolts…

Guys, only the plastic side piece which houses the switch is from a Cimmaron, not the track itself as it's too narrow to fit G-bodies.

Hi again Claude: "WHY" ?? "Passenger side tracks seem rare". I could grind out the rivets and do the ole "switch-a-roo" if I knew it would work ... "I was just thinking, that's all".

*GOOD Info. regarding the Cimmaron* !

Yea, he's right only the side plastic is from the Cimarron. an If I can remember I didn't have to cut nothing, just had to move the motor control wire from the left to the right side pop out then 180 the switch so your going the right way. Hope this helps.

Tom, I used a driver side track for my passenger side installation. The only modification I had to do was to have four small metal plates welded on each "leg" and once done, re-drill the mounting holes 1" more outward thus moving the seat inside, closer to the console for a "factory" appearance.

Actually what I did about the switch's wiring might look complicated but in reality it's pretty simple. Because the original switch is supposed to be mounted on the left side of the car it needs a little "reversing" of wires so it works properly on the right side of the car. Here's how: First, for both "tilt" switches, I switched them front to back and vice versa so the front tilt switch tilts the front of the seat and rear does the same for the rear of the seat. Second, I reversed both wires in the connector for those two switches so the seat moved up when the switch was pulled up, and down when pushed down and Third, I reversed the wires to the main "forward and backward" switch so the seat moved in the right direction in relation to the way the switch is pushed.
That's about it!

Claude. ;)

P.S: Here's another more detailed article I wrote back in June 2007 about that same installation: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/right-side-power-seat-installation-complete.219011/

I will get the parts out and take some pics. It should be a complete passenger side power seat conversion. A buddy of mine put the parts together in the early 90's when the parts were more common and has been in a box ever since. We will go over what I have and then come up with a fair price.

Sure ! I called two bone yards here and one may have a lead on another one ... It's just too darn cold
to go "Yard romping" this week !

Thanks Steve !

if you are still looking got a 87 gn seat track and a caddy switch and seat trim in grey or blue $350 shipped.

Hi, Thanks for the reply ... *is this the passenger side ? (I have 3 driver sides already).
