I'm building a 109 stroker with race ported GN1's, Champion race intake,218 roller,9-1 cr,ATR headers & like mods. What turbo would be a good choice? My current turbo is a t70 bb P-trim with a 82 A/R 3 bolt exhaust. This is a street car with 3400 stall on my old 235ci on the foot brake. any ideas on turbo selection? Thanx

I am currently building a stroker as well pretty much the same combo as yours. I have recently purchased a Turbonetics GT-K 850 and am hoping it will be the perfect street/strip turbo for me. My motor wont be done till the end of April, and I am hoping to be at BG to tune. Let me know what you decide and how it performs for you.

does your t70 not make enough power? If not.. then an updated GTQ will gain you some. The extra cubes should help your spool up.. Assuming you want to stay with a 3 bolt.. there are other options if you go 4 bolt.

I thought about trying a 4 bolt exhaust housing on my t70?

Id 4 bolt and go with a GTS exhaust wheel if your looking for the most hp possible. You will need to re-evaluate the torque converter though.

70gtq ball bearing would do the trick.. if you are going 4 bolt.. you can go 70gts or GT4094r (ball bearing).. the two 4 bolts would require some fabrication.

What kind of gain would I see with a 4 bolt 81a/r ptrim tang housing over my 3 bolt 81a/r housing? what if I went to a PTE 85 a/r 3 bolt p-trim? would I see any real world gain?

I dont think the gains would be worth mentioning unless you were running at least a GTQ exhaust wheel going to a 4 bolt. Youd gain some with the p-trim but i dont think its a cost worthy move unless you are required to run the p-trim. Maybe 20 hp going from the .63 to .85 with the p-trim 3 bolt. A little over 1mph at the dragstrip and minimal et unless you leave harder. What kind of converter are you running? How efficient is it?
