Has anyone swapped a LC2 or LD5 in place of an LN3? I figure it's swapping a 3.8 for a 3.8 so it shouldn't be a huge fabbing nightmare project. Just not sure if the mounting points are different between the rwd version and the fwd version. Plus I'd need some insight on any other differences that would have to be accounted for, besides the turbo exhaust of course :biggrin:
 
Trans bolt pattern is different between RWD and FWD. Some differences in heads (exhaust mainfold mounting/placement) too, but I am not sure of what they are. Not sure what else but the experts are sure to chime in.
 
Car Craft put a blown Buick in a FWD GM years ago and it was a fabing nightmare to say the least. Belhousing had to be adapted, flywheel has to be made to fit, and mounts are completely different.
