The best fitting is an original Terry Houston 3" pipe. They are a bitch to find used though. People that have them don't sell. They're worse than scanmaster 2.1's and powerloggers when it comes to finding them used.

I just installed an rjc 3" thdp style. Hardest part of the job was taking the old stuff out. Its def close but w elongated holes adjustment is easy. Its not hooked up to an exhaust yet but clears everything. I also have stock everything. Motormounts etc. I also drove it once installed and romped on it a lil. Didnt hear any pipes hitting or see false knock on scanmaster and the rjc one is made in the good ole USA. Idk if gbody parts is...

I had a 3" THDP and ended up selling it because I was going with a different setup. Plans changed and I got a RJC 3" to replace it. The THDP fit perfectly, no elongated holes. The RJC fits great but is closer to the fenderwell. The RJC is nice though because it has a bigger puck so the wastegate hole can be made as large as needed to control the newer style turbos.

The best fitting 3" DP is the one from G-Body Parts or RJC as both are made in the USA of high quality stainless, and ALL parts are stainless including the puck, flange and bushing.

The large puck is standard.

The mounting hole are elongated for adjustment during install.

I worked with them on developing and field testing, and their goal was to produce the best Turbo Buick downpipe, and so far this is the best DP ever made for our cars! :)

I have an original THDP and it fits perfect but it had to be ported for the Q trim. For the larger wheel I think the RJC is ready to go.

What about the TA performance downpipe? Why isn't anyone able to truly duplicate the THDP? I was lucky enough to buy an original THDP from a friend and it definitely fits perfect. I've never tried any of the others but I like to keep up with what works and what doesn't.

I have a atr downpipe and have too fix for a 71/68 turbo I nead too change the flange or im goint to sale for by a 3 1/2 one

The best fitting one is the custom one thats made to fit your car exactly as it sits. Nothing will fit as good as it will. All the cars vary a little and the engine mounts will vary a lot car to car. If you have to ask what this type of pipe costs then its not for you.
