I remove the mounts from the block, line the motor up and bolt it to the trans then put the mounts back on the motor.

I looked into those. About $650 for a set of 4. I like the concept, not the price.I'm just wondering how is your car lifted and being supported when it you're parked in gravel?
The next time I have to do another transmission work, I'll use this lift stand which looks good and also will give more height then the car ramps and jack stands

A pair of bolts w/ the heads cut off are good "guide pins", and easier to engage than the block dowel pins.
In any case, DO NOT use the trans bolts to pull the trans up to the block.
