When my trans shifts from gear to gear I get this horrible rpm drop and a lot of surge and buck especially from 1st to 2nd... What in the world is causing this... It is a BRF core with a non brf valvebody with a transgo shift kit but instead of using the supplied valves, oversize mega valves were used (from transmissioncenter.net (PATC))... The BRF governor was also used... The reason this was done ie because I didn't have the heart to hack up the original TR valvebody. What could be causing this??? I have properly adjusted the tv cable and at whits end... It also tachs up pretty high before it shifts especially out of first... Also the 2-3 shift feels firmer than the 1-2... What gives?
Thanks,

Tyler

Sounds like the TCC is stuck locked up. This will make the shifts bang and have excessive rpm drop on the shifts (as well as surging/bucking etc..) It will feel kind of like having a manual car in to high of a gear at a low speed type of bucking or surging)

You guys nailed it!!

Thanks GN... David from Turbobuick performance also took the time to call me and suggested the same thing. Thanks a million guys
