Im looking for a good turbo that spools as good or better than my te-60 that will put me in the real low 11's (I do not have heads or a cam!) I was thinking the PT-61 with a lil more stall? Any suggestions? Any comments are appreciated. Im lookin for something fun to drive on the street but will perform at the track as well. Do you think i will notice a in the seat feel of HP gain with the addition of this turbo and nuthing else, well except inj. 57 lbr's.

Please any comments.
 
You should be running 11's now, work on the suspension.

Instead of changing the turbo and converter, why not add a cam and port the heads? The TE60 will get you there...
 
I was waiting to blo a HG, Im sure ill get into the 11's i was just hoping for real low 11's, which i dont think ill hit with the te60. I just heard alot of good things bout the pt-61 and i might be able to get a deal on it. Heard it was good for 11, 0's or better
 
Listen do what kenny said i know ppl that went low 11's with a 49 it is possible with the 60, what you should so is port and polish your heads and get bigger injectors because you need to support your new heads with more fuel since you will be getting more air. and you will run low 11's without trying hard have a ta-61 and iam just waiting for my new converter and i know i will run mid 11's without aproblem, and than gonna jump to 55#'s with head work.regradless if you can get a good deal on the 61 stick with what you have and work the rest.
 
Ive seen my buddy run 11:00 @124mph with a TE 60 20 psi boost . GN1 alum. heads and ATR roller and the ussual stuff PTE FM and 55inj.
 
hey killR you have a good combo you can good some mid to low 11s with that tweak suspension and good launch. What kind of tires do you have? An on the of the pt -61 i run one went to the track last nite went a new best at 11.27 @ 119.78 with a 1.61 60ft ,if you get the pt 61 you have the right idea to go 57s ,because my injs. are close to max hope that helps .

12.4 @115 1.9-2 60ft

115 mph is easy mid 11 second car. Your f'n up at the speed of light wanting to run a low time at a drag strip and ignoring horrible 60' times! You cant buy a turbo swap thats going to make your car lay down good times with those 60's. Good mph maybe but not good et's.

Get the car to 60' in the mid 1.6's and preferably lower(like in the 1.5's). find 2 to 3 more mph with tunning / tweaking. and you'll have your time slip.

When you concentrate on making your improvements in the earlier stages of a pass the bigger the reductions on the time slip. If you get your car launching hard enough you will be able to throw the car in neutral at or just after the 1/8th mile point and still run in the 11's.
