I understand the danger of debris from a broken trans getting into the converter. Is the opposite of the same concern? Started feeling a driveline vibration only on decel and some shudder as I would come to a stop, and recognized it as a possible converter failure. Not far from the house, clouds of smoke from the front of the trans and fluid pouring on the ground. Sure it's the converter. (Midwest 3200 9/12) Question is: what concerns are there for debris from the converter getting into the trans? Do I need to have the trans flushed? This trans has no more than 1,000 mi on it, and about 10 passes. Want to do what I can to save it.

thanks in advance
