Should I go stock replacement or kick it up a notch with a newer maf and translator? I can get a "new" maf from advance with lifetime warranty for 76 bucks.

Do yourself a favor and step up to the translator and new style maf. I went with the rebuilt stock maf for awhile without success. I stepped up and also bought a TT chip and my car has never run better:eek:

I'm running the...

ls-1 w/ the t+ and like the benefit of adjustable fuel and spark. however w/the addition of the 3.5" dia. of the ls-1 came the added expense of the shorty big-mouth maf intake pipe assembly, which totalled aprox. $430.00. but it was well worth it. now if you want to go maf-less, Mike at full throttle offers a kit for that also. I hear good things about that as well.

I would upgrade to the LS1 TYPE with translator. I haven't done it because I have 4 87 MAF of which one is on my car. When these wear out I will make the change. My 2 cents- Brad
