I'm in the middle of a project. I'm doing a blow through set up and it is easier to put the ls1 maf inline just before the throttle body. If I spray alky prior to the maf will it mess anything up? It sprays in the intake now so I could leave it but I've read that it is better atomacized the further from the tb as possible. Will it hurt anything to spray before the maf?

i wouldn't do it...seems like it would give you some issues tuning and would probably kill the MAF sensor

I have the MAF directly after the turbo on my set up...then i have 2 nozzles after the MAF before the throttlebody

Not a good idea... I am sure Razor will chime in on it but when I bought my alkycontrol kit he was adamant that you CANNOT run it before the MAF

Thanks for the imput guys. I still have plenty of room to put it after the maf or I could leave it at the intake.

The sudden temp change will kill the MAF in short order.

Install the maf down the up pipe a ft or so before the throttle body. It can go anywhere between the interccoler and the tb. Then put your alky nozzles in the normal spot.

Liquids will kill electronics.

Nozzles after MAF. Even a 1/2 inch is fine.

Here is how I have mine. You can see the maf in the up pipe down on the bottom.

Please enlighten me, What is the advantage to placing the MAF there? I have seen this done before & always wondered why. Perhaps I'm behind the times but always willing to learn.
