could the maf sensor be going bad??

it's a genII with 3.5 m/a Chip is a g2sx700g version 1.06.

need to know what i need to set, pretty sure you the guy put a new battery in car and lost all setting???

I think what Bob's looking for is what info is in the Config settings and also what's in the Setup.

The info in the Gen II should not have been lost with a battery change. It's memory is non volatile. The chip's settings would revert to default, but not the Gen II.

I thought that I had a soft copy of the manual here to send you, but all I can find is a hard copy. When and if Fullthrottle's tech site ever gets back up and running the manual is there.
Unfortunately the sections that davpar posted are only a small snippet of the entire manua..

JD, I used to have a Gen II, give me a call. I'd reset the Gen II itself, then set the in and out maf to match the maf and chip you have in the car and it should be a decent baseline and run out of the box no problem.

thats an "Extender Extreme G" So you want to set the MAF out to Extreme.

You said the software version is 1.06? Thats pretty old.

I can update it for you, or if someone down there has the correct cable you can update it yourself.

here's what the car is doing.

Start car cold an car is in open loop, runs good until car goes closed loop and then between 10 in. of vac. till 0 lbs boost car coughs!!!!

i'm scratching my head with this one!!

I FEEL PRETTY GOOD THAT SETTING ARE OK!!!

maf seems to be working fine

tps is working ok,NO DEAD SPOTS

fuel pressure is at 45 and raises as boost comes up

Could the chip need to be re-flashed???

my guess is that some of the 'tuning' settings are not right.

You can reset the whole thing by holding the upper right button while powering up, and keeping it held untl the display says "all data reset"

Watch the "user Tn" reading on the LCD when you are driving, it should stay at "0" or 100% (depending on what software version you have)

are you saying it drives fine cold, or just that it starts ok?

Drives great cold as soon as it warms up it starts coughing

the flashing decmail on the scan master as long as it stays flashing its ok as soon as it goes solid it runs rough, but if you go above 0lbs boost cleans right UP!!!
