well last October I took out GN#2 to the track. and it drove good over to the track, made 4 passe's all at 12.0. but on the way home, I was checking to see if lockup switch was working. when I came upon a stop sign, I noticed that the torque conveter started to make that marble in a can sound. I drove it straight home and have had it parked since then. I have contacted PPC for another converter since I already run one of his in GN#1. should I pull the pan and check the trans for particles or would damage be contained just to the converter?

I had a similar symptom/noise and it turned out to be loose converter bolts to the flywheel.

Put the car up on jackstands. Run the car up in second gear and lock the converter. When you lock it and the noise goes away it's the converter.

well I guess the time has come to get under the GN and see what I will need to fix the marble noise. As summer is around the corner and my Son wants to take the GN out to play. mind you he is only 10yrs old. I have created a little speed Demon.

can't believe it will be almost a year and I still haven't had time to get under my GN. o_O between having lost my Sons Mom as she passed away in Jan 2013, to takng the X-gf to civil court as he sold my original 3.8 drivetrain , tools, engine hoist-stand etc...etc... and having a House built, I should close on the House late Sept. then I will have GN in my own garage, and not in storage where she sits and waits for my attention. I will get her squared away, then have it painted pearl white with black accent. add some 18in Boss 338 wheels, i think.:) so Im hoping by Xmas it will be completed.

well I finally got undernieth the GN and found my marble noise! :D it seems the drivshaft is rubbing up against the exhaust where it splits the exhaust by the pinion. I will have exhaust welded up and maybe take GN out 1 more time to get that elusive 11sc time slip. I'll have to wait til next year to take her out. In the mean time it will go in for a new paint job, Pearl white with black accent. will post pics as soon.
