I currently have the B-body 12in fronts, adjustable proportioning valve & Hotchkis tubular a-arms. This required a move to vacuum brakes. Now I am going to install Baer 12in discs in the rear. Has anyone done this and did your vacuum set-up work well or will something else have to be used to generate the proper volume/pressure?
Mike

I run Baer 12" discs front and rear with a vacuum conversion (prop valve for rear) NO problems in 10 years. (20 yrs. for the vac. system):biggrin:

I have the Baer 12" front and rear with the hydroboost brakes (1984). Works flawlessly. The vacuum set up will work fine, just change to the disc/disc proportioning valve (unless you want to mod your stock unit which they don't come apart easily after 22 years).

This unit fit EXACTLY in place of the stock unit.

Thank you for the advice, I am looking forward to drop-kicking the drum brakes in the trash.
