What would some of you guys recomend for a converter and cam Combo to match a garret turbo that flows 800 CFM Similar to a TA49 ??? my car already has a 206/ 206 webber but im thinking something bigger? OR NOT LOL Not really to sure. I have heard different things?

With TA49 or similar (ta33?) a 2800 stall would work great. For cam try a 204/214 Speed Pro. These are proven.

Agree.
Get a 10" 2800 LU with anti balooning plates.
My car has virtually no lag.

One word of advice;
Make SURE you specify your requested stall @ 0 PSI boost.

How much CFM does the 33 flow?? because i was sure it was less than 800? And YOU GUYS BOTH AGREE ON A 2800?

I think "we" recommended the 2800 because you mentioned the TA49.
And actually, I would say 2800 - 3000, and lean it towards the 3000.

But really, these are just guestimates in the absence of any facts.
You should go back and ask the turbo manufacturer, or do the research on GNTTYPE to get you close.

As far as TA33 AND TA49 flow ...........

Off memory I think the 33 is rated @ 750cfm. So not far off.
As far as the stall, many TR owners get the TA49 because it is a nice step up stock appearing turbo with a whole lot more bang + they can use their stock convertor. Most of these TR owners Im refering to are 86/87 owners (pretty obvious why), but that should not matter one way or another here. 2800 is what, from my experience and half way working memory, most step up to if they wanted to upgrade. 3000 would work as well. With that quick spooling turbo, definately shouldnt have to worry about lag then :eek:
As Jerryl mentioned you can look up specs on turbos at gnttype.org and see what stall is actually recommended if you want to make sure.

I just put on a reman/ restalled 2800 RPM stall Protorque TC and it woke my car up! I needed a tranny rebuild and needed a new converter anyway. I run a TA49. Very nice piece and affordable too.
